THUNDER OVER FAYETTE COUNTY AIRSHOW: 24-HOUR DELAY FOR SAFETY

AIRSHOW WEATHER UPDATE: 24-HOUR DELAY FOR SAFETY

After much consideration and close consultation with the FAA and local authorities, we have made the difficult decision to move the airshow by 24 hours due to the incoming severe weather conditions associated with hurricane Helene. Safety remains our top priority, and this decision ensures the well-being of our performers, staff, and attendees. Additionally, for the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, Sunday is expected to offer substantially better visibility, allowing for a more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Event Terms & Weather Considerations:

As noted in our ticket terms and conditions, inclement weather conditions and other conditions beyond the producers of the airshow’s control may cause delays or cancellations. While we are unable to offer refunds, we are committed to exploring all possible options to ensure the event can proceed safely. The decision to delay by 24 hours is part of our effort to avoid an outright cancellation and provide a fantastic airshow experience while adhering to safety guidelines.

Updated Event Information:

New Date: The airshow will now take place on Sunday, 9/29. We are doing everything in our power to bring you the same thrilling experience, just one day later. Show from 5-8 pm, with doors opening at 3 pm.

Pilot & Public Safety: High winds, low visibility, and particularly a low ceiling caused by weather on Friday are expected to impact our performers’ ability to fly in and conduct necessary preparations. The FAA’s regulations, along with our safety protocols, guide our decision-making in these situations.

No Change to Tickets:

All existing tickets will be honored. No need to reprint tickets.
